 Texas Hot Wheels Collectors Picnic
We will be hosting the 6th Annual Texas Hot Wheels Collectors Picnic on October 25, 2008. It will be held at Landa Park in New Braunfels. There will be diecast racing, custom diecast car show, trade/buy/sell, food, and music.

STDC Website celebrates 5 Years on the WWW
On May 8th, the South Texas Diecast Collectors website celebrated it's 5th Anniversary. Thanks to everyone who makes us a part of their online experience.

Due to the 40th Anniversary of Hot Wheels, the 2nd Texas Regionals in Austin, TX has been moved to 2009. There will more
information available later this year about tickets and hotel location.
The Bat is Back!
After a year and ½ hiatus, the Bat City Hot Wheels Club in Austin, Texas is back! There's been a renewed interest from
collectors around the area to have a club here again. The first meeting was held on July 30th at HWBob's house. A total
of 18 memberships were signed up in the first weekend. If you live in or around Austin and are interested in joining
fellow collectors for die-cast trading and selling, races and custom contests and are willing to help the club with
various activities, please don’t hesitate to email Bob at BatCityHWC@austin.rr.com.

Our next meeting is Sunday May 18, 2008. We will be meeting at the Travelodge Northwest located inside the Loop 410 access road between Evers Rd. and Callaghan Rd. The meeting room is on the third floor. The Doors open at 9:30am (Saturdays) or 10:30am (Sundays) and the meeting starts about 11:00am (Saturdays) or Noon (Sundays). Click here for a map.

In September, our club visited the Santa Rosa Children's Hospital to deliver over 600 Hot Wheels, 15 Backpacks, Lego Blocks, and Drawing Tablets. The kids had a great time with all of the toys and were very happy to see us. We will have another delivery of cars in July of 2004 and we will also be bringing the racetrack with us so the kids can race their favorite cars. About South Texas Hot Wheels and Diecast Collectors
South Texas Diecast was born in a Jim's Restraunt during a mini-get-together with
a couple of collectors talking about the hobby and trading a few cars.
The idea-- To inform fellow collectors about upcoming releases, to help fellow
collectors find cars for their collection, to provide families a fun diecast atmosphere,
and to promote diecast collecting in a positive way. A club by collectors for
collectors.
The club-- Based in San Antonio, Texas.
Meetings are held on the third or fourth Saturday of each month. The purpose of the meeting
is to welcome new members, communicate the latest news in the diecast world,
and provide an open forum for questions and answers. Before and after each meeting
the club participates in a buying/trading/selling/racing session. The purpose of this session
is to help out fellow collectors acquire diecast related items for their collections, give
collectors a place to sell or trade their unwanted or unneeded diecast items and to
race your favorite cars.
